I am interesting in moding a classic guitar to a selmer type guitar( with the bridge movable and the strings pressing the top) does anyone has plans of selmers guitar or for specifications for the bracing?

When you say "classic guitar" do you mean a classical nylon string guitar? If you do, then you might be interested in following the Selmer original. The nylon string guitar was the first of the Macaferri/Selmer guitars.

Jeremy Hamm was displaying one last year at the Folk Festival. It might be worth a phone call but not this weekend.

i didn´t notice the part about classical guitar, just "with the bridge movable and the strings pressing the top"... my bad.

anyway, the maccaferri design for the classical guitar, if i got it correctly, is a rather standard (if you forget about the inside resonator, which most of the folks do), conventional tie-block bridge, 7-fan braced classical guitar, but with a cutaway and a funky looking D-hole. OK, the fans have a focal point around the soundhole (a "tighter" design) and start at a 2nd harmonic bar, but that´s it. there´s a plan for the nylon maccaferri at the Charle shop in the links above.
In case your interested in the later, floating bridge/oval hole selmer design i can check in the Collins book for measurements, if it helps.

The classical Selmer is a much wider instrument to accommodate the internal resonator, and the resonator was the entire reason for the D shaped sound hole as there was the "reflector". The bridge was longer and thinner, and had a split saddle to manage the intonation of the thicker and thinner strings.

Bob, I saw Jeremy last year and I'll be seeing him again this weekend. Dave Freeman will be there, too.

I've already built a Selmer a few years ago. I've got the Charles plans for the oval hole and I have the book.
